These are great looking classy timepieces with a beautiful mechanical spirit and high, Seiko quality. Japanese in spirit, the Men's Automatic watch collection hearken back to the mid 20th century in terms of design and function, with enough modern elements to make them highly relevant for today's watch lovers. Price for the 2010 Men's Automatic watches starts at 9, but this top of the line model retails for 0.

The subsidiary seconds dial has a large arrow hand, but also three small cutaways in the dial. These have a disc underneath the colored red and white. As the seconds move these move from white to red and back again rather quickly. It looks awesome! The power reserve indicator is of the fanciest out there. Basically it is a series of disks. It goes from green to red at the power runs out. When you wind it, the power reserve indicator fill up with green again. The execution of this system is joyous to operate.
While TechnoMarine hasn't really gone anywhere, they certainly didn't grow too much in popularity. For 2010 their idea is to change all that. Have they succeeded? Well they are off to a good start. They also have a killer advertising campaign and messaging plan that I think will be excellent for the brand. Just wait until you see their ads soon. For Perriard, the most important of the new collection is the new TechnoMarine Cruise Sport line. I initially wrote about it here on AskMen.com. This is the major mainstream collection that he is going to be focusing on. A 40mm wide and 45mm wide model selection with and without a chronograph. Priced at about 0 and under, this is a watch made for the masses.
Pierre DeRoche uses an exclusive for Pierre DeRoche movement in the SplitRock watch, which is the Swiss made Dubois Depraz PDP 4001-1 automatic. It uses a micro-rotor so that you can appreciate more of the decorated movement. Lots of large blued steel screws and cotes de Geneve polish, as well as some perlage on the movement. You'll also get a friendly "Vallee de Joux" regional reminder of where the watch is made. The micro-rotor seems to work well in practice, though I think it would have looked good in gold (which might have added some weight to it that also would have helped). The appearance of the movement is rather grand, and it is a good selling point of the watch to see it when you turn over the SplitRock.

4. Repeated over and over, "I can't believe they are buying it. I can't believe they are buying it..."
Each Sparrow Hawk watch is individually numbered as well - adding to their collectibility. Wearing the watch for a while I found is very easy to live with and read. It could be a fun mechanical watch that you like to wear on special occasions or even as a daily wear. Especially good for fans of the aviator look, but don't want a larger watch. From zero straight to the Sparrowhawk as their first model, Techne looks poised for some interesting pieces in the future as well. For now, the delightful little fighting Sparrowhawk watch goes for about 5 - 5 depending on the strap. A competitive price given the market and availability of watches like this.
Linde Werdelin Continues the anticipation up to the release of their graphic novel series called The Perfect Five. Here below is a brand new video teaser/intro into the world of the Perfect Five. Don't worry if it is a little bit confusing at first - that is the point. It is a mystery. You can read more about what the the Perfect Five is all about here when I originally discussed it.
One thing I am not sure about is the price. I might have forgotten to ask, and companies such as this aren't usually the types to volunteer such information without asking. Sometimes I get so into the watch that I forget to make such inquiries. What I can say however, is that if you are not familiar with the brand and own other high-end watches, the price will likely outstand you. Prices for the Vagabondage II watch are ,700 in platinum, limited to 69 pieces, and ,900 in red gold, limited to 68 pieces.
While lots of classic car lovers are familiar with Austin Healey and cars, like the 3000 (below) and the Sprite, I would say that a club that races the cars and are dedicated only to them is the very definition of Niche. The brand has been "no longer" for a long time and it is interesting to consider a dedicated group of people that year after year obsess over the same cars. Still they are a fun bunch of little roadsters that certainly help remind of a time back in the 1950s and 1960s when small sporty cars were a European specialty. While the special limited edition Frederique Constant Healey Chrono Automatic is made for the small club, there are going to 1,888 pieces available in each version. Meaning that the brand wants more than just a few people to pick this piece us. Good thing that the watch styling is handsome enough for plenty of people to get into them.
Part of a series of character introductions followed by comic segments as part of Linde Werdelin's "The Perfect Five" graphic novel (here in digital form).
Where can you get one? How much will it cost. Distribution will be highly limited and watches will be mostly made to order. A few MB&F retailers will carry them, but for the most part the watches will be available through Boucheron boutiques around the world. Prices for the MB&F HM3 JwlryMachine will start at 5,000 and depend on the version as well as exchange rates. This isn't the MB&F watch we used to. You don't see precious or semi-precious stones on their watches. The JwlryMachine is certainly a change of pace for the luxury machine style watch MB&F is known for producing. Some people might see that as an issue, but I could care less about the thematic departure. This is simply a revision of their aesthetic as dreamed up by Boucheron, and a beautiful item of interest for all people to enjoy. The real question is, can a man pull off wear it? I am imagining a custom model in all black and while with yellow eyes. That would work.
